WHO DARES WINS! Most of the original entrants defied the forecast of the meteorogic, metorolgy, metelogical, weather men, and 16 hardy souls played a very enjoyable competition in perfect conditions. Congratulations to Des on winning his first competition, with Kevin, and for his kind hospitality in Pickie clubhouse afterwards. The new gazebo also had its first outing and seems a very useful addition to our assets. We are considering holding a competition for those who withdrew from the event because of the forecast. If so, the trophy will be called the ‘Woe is me’ perpetual shield or WIMPS for short.
